Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer position supporting a global orchestration of a unified software defined network (SDN) for the Army. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex systems. This position is in the DMV area with a hybrid work schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all information systems and Cybersecurity and security protocol for computers, computer networks, and databases for all tasks and subtasks.

Serve as the primary Cybersecurity point of contact to the customer

Implement a security operations program that includes the selection, design, implementation, test, and operational monitoring of security controls across network environments

Evaluate applicable information assurance/security standards (e.g. STIGs, SRGs, and FIPS) and procedures in client environments and ensure compliance of all system integrations with pertinent DoD IT policies and procedures.

Review and assess security architectures and designs and related engineering documentation.

Implement solutions to ensure data, information, and security systems are secure and functioning as required to prevent Cybersecurity breaches of all information systems.

Document and maintain cybersecurity solutions, processes, procedures, and controls related to operation and maintenance of those solutions.

Validate proper implementation of security controls

Support Authorizing Official (AO) actions by generating supporting documents and applicable artifacts in accordance with RMF as defined in NIST 800-37 revision 2 and related agency specific RMF requirements to achieve Interim Authority to Test (IATT) and Authority to Connect (ATC).

Support DoD audits, reviews, evaluations, tests, and assessment of systems, processes, and facilities.

Ensure security patch management and update operations are maintained in the operating environment

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years; 4 additional years of related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of experience as a System or Network Engineer of the last 7 years

5+ years of experience creating RMF packages and submitting artifacts via eMASS to obtain ATO/ATC of the last 7 years

1+ years NETCOM RMF process experience

Strongcommunication, presentation, and facilitation skills

Customer service oriented

Must possess an active Secret clearance to be considered

Possess a current CISSP certification or IAT Level III Certification
