Fire Protection Tester
Location:
Covering Northern VA to MD
Experience:
3-5 years in fire protection
License:
Valid driver’s license; ability to get MD and VA security tech licenses
What You’ll Do:
Test fire alarm systems (fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, sprinklers, tamper valves, etc.).
Create system certification docs.
Talk to customers about system status.
Supervise assistant testers.
Do minor equipment repairs.
Qualifications:
Know fire protection equipment and systems such as Fire Alarms, Sprinkler Systems, Annunciators, etc.
Strong knowledge of NFPA rules.
Understand code books and building construction handbooks.
NICET I is preferable, but not required.
Security System knowledge such as Access Control, IP/CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems is a plus!
