JOB SUMMARY
· Ensure the client, its associates, facility personnel, patrons and guests are provided with a safe and professional working environment.
· Covering an assignment at a fixed Post, or patrol an area, facility, or Location for the purpose of detecting and preventing individuals or groups from committing acts which are injurious to other individuals or to property.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Detaining individuals for further investigation, or arrest where circumstances and conditions warrant such action.
· Answering questions and provide as-needed escort services to members of the public.
· Verifying the security of safes and areas where equipment of items of value are stored.
· Locking and unlocking gates and doors as directed.
· Reducing or turning off facility lights and close window coverings, as directed.
· Monitoring alarm systems and electronic surveillance equipment.
· Reports all incidents of an emergent nature that involve potential damage or injury to any individual within the facility or on the property.
· Patrolling interior and exterior perimeter of the facility or location, as required.
· Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Must pass a criminal background
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
· Must be flexible for work schedule
· Valid California State Guard Card
· Valid Exposed Firearm Permit
· Baton Training Permit (not for all contracts)
· Valid First Aid Certificate (must be hands on training)
· Valid CPR Certificate (must be hands on training)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to exert, life, carry up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to twenty pounds frequently.
· Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, stand, and sit for up to 8 hours in a shift.
· Must be able to climb at least 3 flights of stairs occasionally in an 8-hour shift.
· Must be able to actively respond to emergency and non-emergency-related incidents per 8-hour shift.

SALARY
$18.28 per hour (non-exempt), Full-Time
