Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing conflicts, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
Utilize CCTV and surveillance systems to observe activities and identify potential threats.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as needed.
Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify security risks or breaches.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by monitoring for suspicious behavior.
Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as necessary during emergencies.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is an asset.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
