Strong Tower Security is looking for reliable, responsible, and experienced guards to work and maintain safety and security at Huntington Beach’s State Park Events. You would be performing ID checks, monitoring access/exit points, roaming crowds, enforcing event rules, identifying potential threats, responding to emergencies, and managing patrons during live performance with alcohol being served. Our ideal guard ensures a friendly and strong presence with great de-escalation skills all while keeping a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. 4 years of experience in event security/night life is a plus!
Duties include but not limited to:
Crowd control: Keeping the crowd under control outside waiting to clear ID checks and security clearance, especially during busy times when the risk of accidents and liability increases
Conflict resolution: Using de-escalation techniques and calm communication to defuse tensions and prevent violence
Checking IDs: Ensuring that all patrons meet the age requirements
Monitoring for illegal items: Keeping an eye out for illegal goods on the floor
Helping bartenders: Assisting bartenders to prevent over-serving guests
Asking patrons to leave: Warning disorderly patrons and asking them to leave
Escorting patrons: Escorting patrons who refuse to leave
Calling law enforcement: Contacting the police when needed
Detaining potential criminals: Detaining anyone who appears to be committing a crime
Helping intoxicated guests: Assisting intoxicated guests in finding a safe way home
