Safety and security are key factors in ensuring that each performance hosted at Palladium Times Square is fun and safe for all in attendance. We’re seeking a Security Shift Supervisor to support the security strategy and effort for the venue, which will be responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of safety and security measures for events, and working with the Security Manager to understand standard and specific requirements for each performance.
The Security Shift Supervisor will perform security assessments and checks both on the facility and for those entering the venue, will uphold and support security policies, will communicate and have a strong understanding of security procedures for each event, and will ensure that all staff are performing their roles with safety in mind. The role will be hands-on in performing security checks and quality assurance checks on security systems and measures, will ensure appropriate staffing and support for each event based on unique variables and size, and will support the venue and clients in terms of handling medical, safety, and emergency situations.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of two years of experience in security support, ideally within the entertainment industry at a venue, and possess a strong understanding of security measures, standard operating procedures. The role requires a people-positive approach to security and will require exemplary situational awareness.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Review security plans for each event and ensure that specific processes are clearly disseminated to security and support staff
· Possess a full understanding of security policies and technologies utilized within the venue
· Implement and support all security procedures as directed by the Security Manager
· Train and support security staff to ensure are all aware of expectations day-to-day
· Provide details and support for team goals for the security team
· Handle complaints from performers or event-goers and resolve concerns promptly and efficiently
· Handle medical, safety, and emergency situations that arise with promptness and professionalism
· Ensure that all at the venue have a safe environment to enjoy the event
· Additional tasks and projects as they arise
