JOB SPECIFICATION:
Technicians are responsible for the installation and maintenance of Video Surveillance, Access Control, Security Systems, Fire Alarms and other Low Voltage Systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience required in some but not all of the following areas:
Network Cabling
Fire Alarm
Security
Surveillance Systems
Access Control
Project layout
Troubleshooting
Ability to start relationships with customers and maintain relationships with existing customers
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Outlook is preferred
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to plan, coordinate and problem solve effectively
Ability to work alone or as a team
Impeccable attention to detail
Education/Experience:
Low Voltage Field Experience Preferred
High school diploma or GED certificate
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Work in all conditions which include: heat, cold, humidity, sunlight, and wind.
Climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel framework, Lifts, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Possess full range of motion and flexibility.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
PLT License preferred or be willing to obtain one
Entry level; 0 to 18 months experience.
High school diploma or GED required; trade school training preferred.
Valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record required.
General level of mechanical and consumer devices knowledge
Ability to interact and communicate with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work flexible work hours and overtime as required.
Pay Range with Relevant Experience: $18-$35/hr
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $35.00 per hour
