Overview:
We are seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to serve as a visual deterrent at the entrance of our store. This role will focus on the safety and security of our customers, employees and merchandise. The ideal candidate will hold a valid New York State Guard Card and be responsible for monitoring foot traffic, providing a security presence, and assisting with loss prevention efforts while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Stand at the front entrance to provide a visible security presence and deter potential theft.
Monitor customer and employee activity to identify suspicious behavior.
Greet customers and ensure security protocols are followed.
Work closely with the Loss Prevention team to report incidents or suspicious activity.
Respond to security incidents professionally and follow company procedures.
Maintain awareness of store operations and support loss prevention initiatives.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to loss prevention and safety.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid New York State Guard Card.
Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Prior security, loss prevention, or retail experience preferred but not required.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong observational and communication skills.
Professional demeanor and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
