The Gig:The Manager – Fleet Security is responsible for Virgin Voyages Shipboard Security Operations, Policies, complying with the ISPS Code and all other legislation regarding the Security Operations for the Virgin Voyages Fleet. Incident and Investigations management for Security Incidents, Personal Injuries and other incidents as required. Represents Virgin Voyages at Industry events and with governmental bodies for all Security related business.

Essential Responsibilities:
Deputy/Alternate to the Company Security Officer (DCSO)
Manages the Shipboard Security Teams in the Virgin Voyages Fleet.
Responsible for ensuring the Company’s compliance with all relevant security legislation and policy.
Acts as a specialist and subject matter expert on Fleet and Port Security Operations Development and implementation of Security related policies, procedures and documents.
Responsible for nurturing relationships with existing and prospective vendors on new equipment purchases,
Monitor vendor and contractor performance, track issue resolution and escalation maintenance, service contracts and implement improvements as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of vendors and contractors into our business processes
Travels on each ship as required sharing best practice, auditing standards, coaching Security Officers, and ensuring standardization of process (*including shipyard during new build process and set-up for delivery)
Law Enforcement liaison on all crime allegations and ongoing investigations
Collaborates closely with the Company’s Legal and Risk Management departments on all matters of incident investigations, claims and litigation.
Acts as an expert and liaison with all external agencies, including government agencies, vendors and contractors who provide services and equipment to support the Company Security Operation.
Establishes and maintains a pivotal liaison role with Port Security Officers and Security Vendors in all destinations and turnaround ports.
Works closely with the terminal and transportation team to ensure a seamless security operation and experience
Responsible for port security operations are in compliance with MTSA, ISPS code and internal company policies.
Facilitates and supports Shipboard and Company Stakeholders in Ship Security Operations in all company destinations and turnaround ports.
Point of Contact for Special Events, High Profile Sailors, Projects, and Groups
Participates in Risk Assessments for new ventures and offerings
Leads the review process for Security Incident and Personal Injury investigations
Tasks shipboard teams accordingly in on-going incident management
Analysis of Incidents and Presentation of key data, trends and metrics
Manage and maintain incident database integrity and accuracy
