Job Description
To create, optimize and sustain a healthy and safe work environment in Safeen MS by implementing the Integrated Management System (IMS), Safe Management System (SMS), International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, and Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
Ensuring effective implementation and maintenance of ADPorts Group Integrated Management System (IMS), Safe Management System (SMS), International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, and Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).
Leading the establishment of the annual HSEQ objectives, action plan, budget, training plan, performance monitoring, incident and accident reporting and other administrative activities related to HSEQ Department.
Act as Designated Person Ashore (DPA) to ensure the effective implementation of a safety management system across all marine units.
Leading and monitoring the effectiveness of Marine Units’ audits & inspection.
Monitoring compliance of all documented information and records related to the Integrated Health, Safety and Environment & Quality Management System.
Offering consultation to promote and enforce the implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS), which provides assistance and guidance.
Coordinate with all Safeen MS’ Divisions/ Departments to develop and maintain the required documented HSEQ Standard Operation Procedures (SoPs) & retain the records for their activities and functional areas.
Collaborate with all Safeen MS’ Divisions/ Departments to ensure that HSEQ initiatives are properly executed to fulfill and achieve objectives & targets.
Monitor the compliance with the applicable legislations and codes of practices, and other relevant international best practices.
Assist all Safeen MS’ Divisions/ Departments to fulfill business continuity requirements and test the effectiveness of recovery plans.
Evaluating the performance measures by conducting periodic analysis to evaluate the business performance trends.
People Management Responsibilites:
Manage HSEQ team performance, encourage engagement, handle interpersonal disputes, and empowerment.
Balanced projects, tasks and initiatives distribution among Team.
Maintain effective communication, consultation, and leading training of HSEQ team.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Lead projects associated with Quality Management, Assets Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Emergency Response Services, and Enterprise Risk Management.
Collaborate with Safeen MS’ Management to sustain safe & qualitative services to achieve HSEQ policy, fulfill ADPorts Group’ values, and HSEQ objectives.
Manage Safeen MS’ activities in a manner that demonstrates commitment to minimize HSEQ risks to a level that is As Low As Reasonably Practical (ALARP), aimed at achieving zero harm.
Ensure that Safeen MS’ work environment and marine units operate in accordance with the highest standards and applicable legislations.
Qualifications
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
An appropriate HSEQ University Degree.
Lead Audit Certificate- ISO 45001,14001, 9001, 22301.
NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate).
IOSH Managing Safely.
Marine Risk Management.
Familiarity with national and international HSE standards.
Language Skills:
Fluent Arabic & English (reading and writing).
Years of Experience:
A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role.
Nature of Experience:
Health, Safety, Environment, Quality Management, Assets Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and Enterprise Risk Management.
