Job Summary
The Weekend Special Event Officer at a prestigious Manhattan Private School plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and guests during special events. This position requires a proactive approach to conflict management and loss prevention while maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong surveillance skills and be prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
Monitor and secure the premises during special events, ensuring the safety of all attendees.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and address any potential security concerns.
Manage conflicts that may arise during events, utilizing effective communication and de-escalation techniques.
Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard school property and personal belongings of guests.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed, ensuring a prompt response to medical emergencies.
Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities within the venue.
Collaborate with school staff and local law enforcement when necessary to maintain a secure environment.
Skills
Strong conflict management abilities with experience in de-escalating tense situations.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
Familiarity with surveillance systems and CCTV operation.
Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.

F01/03/04 Certification
