Overview
Aquila Protective Services is one of the largest locally-owned provider of security and protective services. Working with both large corporate, government and local clients, we maintain a staff of professional, dedicated personnel throughout the state. We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team from our Denver corporate offices.
The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring overall smooth day-to-day operations of our protective services operations. This position involves overseeing security operations, implementing loss prevention strategies, and managing a team of security professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, have a strong background in security operations or law enforcement, and a commitment to maintaining a professional team of personnel.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Oversee daily security operations, including working with clients to resolve any concerns and conducting regular site inspections.
Manage and train security personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills for effective conflict management and emergency response.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed to address security incidents or concerns.
Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate measures for loss prevention.
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and requirements.
Respond to incidents and coordinating investigations as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of security activities and prepare reports for management review.
Skills
Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques and best practices is helpful.
Experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions based on available information.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and external stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams in a security environment.
Requirements
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule. Our operations run 24/7/365 and you will have oversight of many different teams of employees. This may include being available at different times of the day when incidents occur.
Ability to obtain and maintain an armed security license (must possess an approved firearm of 9mm or .40 caliber).
Must possess a clear driving record and current license.
Position is both in office as well as in field (50/50 split). This is not a remote position and local travel is expected (company vehicle will be used).
This position requires a proactive approach to security management, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to while fostering a culture of vigilance among staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
