Security Guard / Property Security
Position Summary
Havasu Riviera Marina is seeking full time and part time experienced Security Guards. Security Guards are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment to all Havasu Riviera Marina guests, Slip Holders, Annual Pass Holders, and employees while enforcing all marina rules and regulations. Reports to the Marina Operations Manager.
General Duties
Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle, providing assistance and direction to all marina guests and employees
Report all suspiciously acting persons present on property to Marina Manager
Apply crime risk and safety hazard prevention SOP’s, and enforce marina rules and regulations
Assist Marina Management as needed with reports concerning criminal offences committed against resort/marina property, marina guests, and employees
Respond to all disturbances, accidents, and guest and employee injuries
Monitor and report all conditions which may create security or safety hazards on the property, making recommendations to improve prevention techniques, devices and equipment that would correct the hazards
Respond to fire and security alarms on the marina property
Have a working knowledge of the alarm systems and security systems
Have a working knowledge of the ADA equipment available on site, and assist as needed in making required accommodations
Maintain, inventory, and secure lost items
Promptly report accidents, injuries, property damage or loss to Marina Management
Code of Conduct Requirements
Notify management of guest complaints at the time they occur. Practice effective service recovery by rectifying any complaints as soon as possible
Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner perform a multitude of different functions therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when occasions arise
Adhere to all company, marina, and front gate written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc.
Communicate effectively with proper grammar
Wear a clean and neat uniform daily that follows Havasu Riviera Marina Standards
Maintain the reputation of the marina and common areas as a clean and welcoming facility
Ability to interact positively with supervisors, management, co-workers, guests, owners, and public with skills to provide excellent customer service
Ability to produce work in a timely manner which is accurate, complete and of high quality
Job Type: Full-time
Starting wage is $15.00+ per hour depending on experience, with annual review for increases based on performance
Paid vacation days available after 6 months of employment
Sick pay as required by Arizona State Law
Schedule
The nature of our business at the Havasu Riviera Marina requires all employees to work weekends. All applicants need to expect to work all summer holidays and Marina events.
Federal and state working hours and vacation allowances will be respected, as a minimum.
To be mutually agreed, but in line with recreational boating and hospitality employment practices, will include:
Shift work
Weekend working
Seasonal working
Unsociable hours
Paid/unpaid overtime
Education & Experience
Two-plus years of property security experience is preferred
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, is required
Background check is required
Customer service experience in hospitality, marina, or equivalent service-based industry
Proven track record of performing at the highest level of ethical work standards
