Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Night Watch Staff to ensure the safety and security of our premises during the night hours. This role is crucial in maintaining a secure environment, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents as they arise. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a proactive approach to conflict management, and experience in surveillance operations.
This opportunity is located at the old Venice hospital and requires the ability to travel between levels in the building by stairs as well as a willingness to work both in and outdoors to monitor both the building and the parking garage as needed.
Responsibilities
Monitor the premises to detect any suspicious activities.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure all areas are secure.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
Contact EMS if necessary
Maintain accurate logs of suspicious activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques to resolve issues peacefully.
Experience
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
Familiarity with conflict management strategies and loss prevention techniques.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently during night shifts while remaining alert and responsive.
