Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
Serves as a point of contact for all venues and posts, indoors and outside, within the Ringling’s 66-acre campus
Models and ensures compliance of the Ringling Security Operating Guidelines
Ensures the safety of all persons and property with a focus on customer service
Performs routine inspections and utilizes a golf cart, multi-line telephone, and two-way radio
As needed:
Directs performance of security personnel in the absence of the Safety & Security Coordinator and Security Supervisors
Provides oversight and operation of the Ringling Museum Security Operations Center
Assists in execution of emergency plans concerning evacuation of venues in the event of fire, disasters, or other emergency situations
Assists individuals involved in accidents or injured on campus
Prepares written reports of accidents, incidents, and general conditions
Qualifications
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for long periods
Ascend/descend stairs
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
Skills
Valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain prior to hire
Please note, a driver’s permit is not acceptable
Within the first twelve months in the position, the incumbent must have completed all required training including but not limited to: First Aid Certification, Blood-borne Pathogens Training, Weather Spotter Certification, FEMA Online Incident Command System courses IS 235 and 240, and Basic Campus Fire Suppression System Training. All training provided by The Ringling.

Considerations
Rate of Pay: $33,408 + based on the education, skills, and experience of the selected candidate. This role is also eligible for a 10% shift differential based on the hours of work.

Working Hours: Tuesday – Saturday from 10:15 PM – 6:45 AM with 30 minutes for lunch. This role is required to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, special events, and holidays based on the needs of The Ringling.
This position is based in Sarasota, FL.
This is a USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.
This is a Medium Priority Personnel role and may be required to work before, during, or after a University closure, such as weather events/emergencies.
