Full Job Description
Responsibilities:.
*Must have a negative result of a drug screen
– Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
– Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security
– Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
– Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
– Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
– Monitor and operate CCTV cameras and alarm systems
– Perform access control duties by verifying identification and granting access to authorized individuals
– Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or information
Experience:
– Proven work experience as a Security Officer or relevant position
– Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
– Familiarity with report writing
– Excellent surveillance and observation skills
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
