Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Contractor Safety / Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and regular observation of detainees at a hospital. This position requires the security officer to observe and monitor any detainees being treated while under the supervision of the Department of Corrections.
Duties
Security Guards shall monitor/observe Detainees.
Security Guards shall provide observations of detainees to ensure their well-being.
Security Guards shall maintain observation and order to prevent the commission of a felony or misdemeanor crime, including escape or attempted escape within the hospital facility.
Security Guards shall ensure at any time restraints must be temporarily removed, that two staff persons (DOC Officer and Security Officer or two Security Officers) will be present until the detainee completes his/her restroom visit or medical procedure. Both persons will remain present until the restraints are reapplied, or the detainee is re-secured to the stretcher/wheelchair etc. The on-duty DOC supervisor will be notified of the removal.
Security Guards shall adhere to the DOC standard operating procedures as it pertains to the removal of restraints.
Security Guards shall observe and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate DOC supervisor.
Security Guards shall submit documentation of daily surveillance and all suspicious activity.
Requirements
Security Officers must be Georgia POST certified law enforcement officers or Georgia POST certified jail officers.
Security Officers shall comply with the hospital’s mandatory forensic training and Medical Clearances, in order to receive hospital badges.
Security Officers will wear designated uniforms for post assignments.
Security Guards shall adhere to DOC standard operating procedures.
Security Guards shall adhere to all company service and operating standards.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 per hour
