General Purpose of Position
Oversees safety and maintains order at Dallas LIFE. Supervises resident monitors. Answers directly to Security Manager and Director of Operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises all security activities while on shift.
Makes rounds throughout the building checking for security breaches, needed repairs, unnecessary noise, dangerous situations, etc..
Makes sure vehicles are logged and parking lot is monitored.
Makes sure reception area, offices and desk are neat and orderly.
Observe and report to Security Manager any issues in building or parking lot.
Does security inspection when infractions are suspected.
Administers drug or alcohol tests as directed.
Supervises and trains any employee or resident assigned to his area during his shift.
Represents Dallas LIFE in a friendly and professional manner at all times
Perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Operations.
Oversees use of metal detector.
Oversees system of confiscating all contraband & disposes of contraband off-site.
Helps oversee bed roster sign in table.
Monitors fire panel, camera systems & HVAC Watchdog Alarms
Checks residents for expired bed tickets.
