JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a sharp, tech-savvy, personable, experienced full-time and part time Non-Commissioned (Unarmed) Security Officer, to fill a 3p-11p Saturday & Sunday. The Candidate must be able to start immediately. The job site is just west of Fort Worth, off I-20, near Aledo. The position involves securing a truck terminal where cargo loads are transferred. Officers will be stationed in a well-appointed trailer to control access and will conduct regular foot patrols around the lot to ensure that the loads remain secured. You will also be required to document employees and contractors enter and exiting the Truck Terminal. You also be required to document the trucks that enter and exit the Terminal.
Our client is Aurora Innovation, a leader in developing self-driving technology. The Aurora trucks are self-driving (although a driver is still present for now), so it is a very interesting environment, and the security team is treated very much as a full partner in the Aurora Team. This is a long-term contract so we are looking for experienced officers with at least a current Level II Certification, who are interested in long-term, stable employment. The pay grade for this position will range from $15.50-$17.50/hr. Based on experience. For full-time officers a health care plan will be available after 90 days and paid time off of one week per year will be given after one year of employment.
Since our contract requires that we staff this post 24/7/365 and there are only a small number of officers to cover this post, there are very strict rules regarding call-offs. Therefor, only those who are reliable and willing to work should apply.
Please remember, this is an UNARMED, NON-COMMISSIONED POSITION. We welcome Level III- Certified Guards, but you will not be armed while working.
REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum Level II Guard Certification
Valid driver’s license
Must be articulate, with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Have the ability to maintain strict attendance and punctuality standards
Have a neat and professional appearance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Have good near/far eyesight (corrected)
Capable of lifting 15 pounds
Walking casually for 30 minutes without rest

Pay: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour
