Elements Casino Grand River is seeking a Part-time Surveillance Operator!

Under the general direction of the Surveillance Manager, this position is responsible for protecting the assets of the corporation against theft, fraud and abuse, using surveillance techniques to monitor operations and gaming activities, while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming

work environment

for all team members. Above all else, operators must

lead by example

to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues!

The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:

Compliant with AGCO regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures;

Always maintain awareness of gaming operations and game integrity and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets;

Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations. Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications: A minimum of one (1) or more years of experience in a Security related field or gaming related positions Previous experience preferably in the casino industry; gaming knowledge and game protection an asset. Knowledge of Casino operations. Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal,

communication

and

multitasking

skills.

Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft office applications:

Excel, Word, Outlook etc. Knowledge of the AGCO Standards and the Gaming Control Act. In addition, knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime, Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) an asset. Completion of Grade 12

Education

or higher; strength in Criminology, Law or related field will be an asset. The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights.
