Summary
AnOffensive Security Consultantis needed to join a growing, yet well-established, cybersecurity consultancy. This is your opportunity to expand your knowledge and work with different types of penetration testing. You will be able to work with clients across a variety of industries (public sector, commercial, government, healthcare and services). The consultancy is expanding due to great demand from their customers.
The ideal candidate will havecommercial experiencein a previous security role performing security assessments and/or searching for vulnerabilities. Working within thiscollaborative and supportive environment,you will get the opportunity to work alongside and learn from a number ofindustry leading Offensive Security professionals.
Responsibilitiesof a Penetration tester / Security consultant:
Conduct comprehensive penetration testing activities, including internal network assessments, perimeter security evaluations, and web application testing
Engage in regular communication with clientele to discuss the results of penetration testing activities, addressing concerns, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
Conduct scoping activities and follow industry best practices to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of penetration testing engagements.
Recognize and safely utilize attacker TTP’s whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism, adhering to ethical standards.
Requirements of a Penetration Tester / Security Consultant:
2 years’ experienceworking in a Offensive Security / Penetration Testing role
Knowledge of how modern web applications are designed, developed, and deployed across a range of platforms
Ability to train and work with end-users throughout the development of a working relationship.
Familiarity with the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)
CRT or CRT equivalency is essential for this position
Desirable:
CHECK Team Member/CREST Register Tester or TigerScheme Qualified Security Team Member.
Other Industry relevant qualifications such as CEH / CSTP / OSCP / OSCE etc
Ability to obtain UK security clearance is highly desirable.
