Job Description
A Level I Personnel Security Specialist for ISN must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
Knowledge, experience and proficiency using OPM’s Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system.
Reviewing SF85, SF85P, and SF86 security questionnaires.
Using OPM’s Personnel Investigations Processing System (PIPS) and the Central Verification System (CVS).
Enrolling and activating applicants for HSPD-12 PIV cards.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Have experience fingerprinting applicants.
A minimum of 2 years experience in personnel security is required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Completion of OPM approved adjudication course.
Must be citizens of the United States.
A Level I Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) must review applicant completed EQIP and other electronic or hardcopy documents and databases and use systems related to the initiation and processing of background investigations. The PSS must be able to assist applicants with corrective action concerning completion and submission of the applicant’s personnel security documents and with eQIP. The PSS will make entries into the PSC personnel security database, schedule appointments and take fingerprints, and perform other support functions, interact professionally with clients, and perform other administrative and clerical duties, as required.
