SARA is looking for a remarkably talented, motivated, and experiencedPhysical Industrial Security Specialistto support activities out of our Colorado Springs, CO location. This role reports to the Security Manager and performs Industrial Security duties and responsibilities with emphasis on Physical Security. Qualified candidates should be well versed within industrial security disciplines which include personnel and physical security, document control, classified information systems, classification management, COMSEC and OPSEC.
Core Responsibilities:
Engage in day-to-day physical security procedures and processes, ensuring 100% compliance within the scope of the 32 CFR Part 117, National Industry Security Program (NISPOM)
Conduct physical security training in line with company open and close procedures
Issue and tracking all company issued building access badges and keys
Take employee fingerprints as needed
Monitor building cameras
Access control system monitoring/administration
Coordinate with Alarm company regarding any system issues
Escort visitors while in the facility
Courier to/from Post Office and checking PO Boxes on a weekly basis
Rotation of “On-Call” duties
Assist with new construction of an ICD705 facility
Assist with security indoctrination briefings, debriefings, and annual security awareness/refresher briefings to employees
Assist with Processing VARs for incoming visits and outgoing visits
Assist with maintaining appropriate facility security databases including, but not limited to, e-QIP, SWFT, NISS, DISS (NBIS) and SIMS
Participate as needed in special department projects
Other duties as required
Requirements:
U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Experience providing professional administrative/security support in U.S. Government or corporate office environment
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
May require light physical effort, involving standing, sitting and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds
Working environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated, moderate physical hazards may exist
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year of hands on FSO or Industrial Security experience
Secret Security clearance with ability to upgrade
