Full Job Description

The Physical Security Operations Center (“PSOC”) Technician controls and monitors facility Network Video Recording (“NVR”) systems including, suspect tracking and surveillance, motion capture, recorded video review, through the integrated Closed-Circuit Television monitoring software. This position is responsible for intake of all phone calls to the PSOC, delegating all security site active patrol response, review of and documentation compiling of recorded incidents for all facilities. This position requires continuous monitoring of the properties assigned, identifying potential security and/or safety risks, and reporting them to Infrastructure Protection and Risk Management for proper resolution. This position entails shift work involving monthly schedule rotations for day, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a minimum of two years surveillance experience. This position must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as Policy and Procedure Manuals, instructions, Emergency Operations Plans (“EOPs”), Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”), daily memorandums, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and other PSOC-related documents or instructions.

This position must have the ability to view surveillance footage and find conclusive supporting video facts as well as document them. The ability to analyze video footage and assist investigation teams is required, along with the ability to write effective, concise, and quality reports.

TYPICAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Monitor and assess all surveillance systems assigned within the PSOC

Monitor and assess radio and phone communications

Communicate in a professional manner

Monitor security systems for incoming possible threats to the Company and facilities and notifying the appropriate parties, as needed

Create and prepare Daily Activity Reports for management

Validate Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, and maintenance requests were appropriately handled, or proper notifications made

Coordinate with Risk Management when incidents need further investigation or attention

Observe and document video coverage and report any unusual or suspicious activities on property to the appropriate personnel

Perform other duties as assigned

Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

This position must be able to respond to inquiries directed at Security Operations from within the organization and external agencies. The incumbent must be able to communicate calmly and effectively in an emergency.

This position requires the ability to apply independent reasoning to a variety of situations. The ability to work well in a team atmosphere and with superiors and peers is a must.

This position must be able to effectively gather and analyze information in real time, during active situations, and provide the appropriate security response and/or action. The incumbent must be able to facilitate larger scale investigations that may range Companywide. The incumbent must have knowledge of local and applicable state criminal laws.

$26.43 – $34.81
