JOB SUMMARY:

Provides safety and protection of guests, employees, and property by anticipating problems and reacting to disturbances and prohibited conduct and responding to emergency situations as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Escorts guests and employees to and from vehicles as requested.
Escorts employees and Sports Book employees during all money transfers.
Performs routine checks and counts of property and reports safety hazards or conditions.
Verifies and escorts table buys from Vault to Pit.
Provides security over company assets during slot and pit drops. Ensures all procedures are followed and assets are protected at all times.
Maintains crowd control.
Provides guest service and works as an ambassador on the casino floor promoting customer safety and guest service.
Completes Security daily log in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Mediates and resolves questionable incidents involving customers and/or employees.
Investigates and files reports on incidents and disturbances.
Fills out proper forms for hotel or casino employee injuries. Reports all injuries immediately to CSM and/or GM, and notifies Human Resources. Insures all employee accident victims are sent for immediate medical attention and drug testing.
Provides CPR and/or other medical assistance when necessary.
Able to conduct and document investigations.
Understands and complies with all Gaming Regulations related to this position.
Notifies supervisor immediately for major events or altercations, as well as, for First Responder duties associated with Blood Borne Pathogens and Sharp objects.
Monitors observance of safety practices and potential safety hazards on property.
Provides comfort, assistance and protection to employees involved in various incidents that occur on property.
Drives company van complying with all State and Local laws and providing excellent guest service for guests during pickups and deliveries.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Military or Law Enforcement background qualifies for experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
