Full Job Description

Duties

You will assess Antiterrorism (AT) policies, systems and procedures to ensure that a comprehensive, active, and viable AT program exists for protection against criminal, terrorist, and/or hostile activities.

You will develop, coordinate, monitor, analyze, and evaluate the status of all Navy Reserve Region Readiness and Mobilization Commands (REDCOMs) and Navy Reserve Centers (NRCs) AT program.

You will plan and execute the implementation of new and emergent AT policies, resolution of complex vulnerabilities and possible threats to the area of responsibility.

You will publish guidance for all subordinate commands concerning implementation of the AT program.

You will evaluate the effectiveness of the REDCOM and NRC command AT programs through assessments, drills and exercises.

You will conduct physical inspections of facilities and assets to determine physical security related vulnerabilities to potential terrorist activities or targeted attacks.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Applying principles, concepts and methodologies of the public law, Executive Orders, and DoD and military service directives governing Antiterrorism (AT) processes.

Utilizing security operations, plans, procedures, and regulations.

Adhering to technical review of Antiterrorism (AT) program and system designs, specifications and risk analysis.

Applying Antiterrorism (AT) security criteria and standards, including safety requirements and personnel reliability.

Conducting verbal presentations ranging from formal local discussions to formal briefings for flag level audiences.
