Job Summary
This is a Title 32 excepted position. This job announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies for additional positions vacated during the job bid process. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate military enlistment or transfer to the Utah Air National Guard.
Duties
Major Duties:
This is not an all-inclusivelist
Perform the full spectrum of police officer duties within the assigned jurisdictions.
Meet all requirements of Federal, DoD, AF, MAJCOM, State, and local level rules and regulations to maintain trainings and weapons qualifications.
Patrol the installation on foot or in vehicles; respond to alarms, irregularities, and unusual or suspicious circumstances; and investigate incidents.
Enforce traffic rules and regulations.
Assist local, state, or federal law enforcement with arrest authority.
Appear in court to testify as required.
Respond to Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) alarms.
Protect personnel and high value assets.
Respond to and investigate emergency calls.
Conduct Investigations/Surveillance.
Dispatch police units to alarm activations and crime scenes.
Perform emergency response and incident command and control.
Establish initial command and control as others react to neutralize threats.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
National Guard Membership is required.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license.
Medical screening will be completed upon selection for hire.

Have practical knowledge of security force (SF) activities in direct support of military weapon systems and physical security; law and order; or area security operations.
