JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Police Sergeant serves as first line supervisor, under the direction of the patrol commander (Lieutenant). This position supervises the activity of several police and security officers, review reports and direct activities of assigned personnel. Additionally, this position responds to the scene of any significant incident to coordinate subordinate staff performance, as well as coordinate enforcement efforts with MPD and other law enforcement agencies.
