Position #010141: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm;
Monday – Friday with occasional weekend hours.
Position #010143: 11:00 am – 7:30 pm;
Monday – Friday with occasional weekend hours.
Primary
Purpose
of Position
Positions perform protective, security, enforcement, and public contact work at the Dubois Center. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring activities via surveillance systems, guarding property, recognizing hazards, and maintaining records. Work involves knowledge of safety practices, emergency handling, policies, and confidentiality. May require shift, weekend, and overtime work.
Minimum Education
/Experience
Required: High School diploma or equivalency and necessary competencies. Some positions may require valid N.C. driver’s license.
Preferred: High School diploma or equivalency plus one year of security enforcement or protection work. Valid N.C. driver’s license may be required.
Essential
Job Duties
Patrols and monitors high-risk areas.
Supports special events and provides motorist assistance.
Operates security and enforcement equipment proficiently.
Performs routine maintenance on equipment and stays updated on security practices.
Other Responsibilities
Handles sensitive and confidential information securely.
Ensures safety of vulnerable populations and manages authorized access.
Operates university vehicles as needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience in law enforcement or related field.
Knowledge of security procedures and policies.
Attention to detail and understanding of regulations.
Licenses and Certifications
Some positions may require valid N.C. driver’s license.
