Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure the safety of all individuals on-site.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring the health and safety of individuals in emergencies.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing information and support during investigations.
Document all incidents accurately in reports for future reference and analysis.
Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations effectively.
Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills related to loss prevention and surveillance techniques.
Qualifications
Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is an advantage.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Must possess a valid security certificate or be willing to obtain one upon hiring.
A background in military service is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective reporting and interaction with others.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
