Job Summary:
Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking candidates for a Security Worker position on our Technical Campus. This position is for 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm).
Job Duties:
Candidates will be responsible for providing ongoing visual inspection by foot, bike, and/or vehicle patrols, completing incident, accident, and injury reports as needed, and providing other security services to maintain a safe, secure campus environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
Assisting with campus crisis situations, building evacuations, drills, etc. as needed, and monitoring parking facilities to ensure only authorized vehicles are parked in restricted areas; issuing citations as needed.
Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED and one year of Security or related work experience (other Security, Corrections, Police, Fire, EMS, or Military). Strong written and verbal skills are necessary. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows applications is preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
