Responsibilities:
Responsible for routine safety and emergency security activities, safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients, and property.
First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility.
De-escalate critical events safely and use sound judgment when engaging with combative or escalating subjects.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Two years in security, military, or public safety preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s license;
Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) within one year; carry non-lethal weapons such as Taser CEW and baton.
Additional: P.O.S.T. certification preferred; pass pre-employment psychological screening; maintain certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, etc.
