Public Safety Telecommunicators (PSTs)receive emergency (9-1-1) and non-emergency phone calls and dispatch appropriate Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS Units. PSTs work in an exciting 24/7 environment and there are many perks to include serving your community!

Starting pay of$25.21with automatic yearly increases

Shift differentialof $1/hour for evenings, nights, and weekends

Overtimeavailability to include a shift differential overtime rate ($1.50)

Part of the Federal Public ServiceStudent Loan ForgivenessProgram

PSTs work 52 days less a year than your traditional 9-5 M-F work due to10 hour shiftsand4 day works weeks!

PTOaccrual begins immediately at 5.54 hours per payroll which including holiday time, amounts to 22 days of PTO your first year! That earns you five and a half weeks of PTO your first year working!

Qualifications –High School diplomaor equivalent and the ability to type40 correct words per minute. Candidates will be subject to pass abackground check.
