SUMMARY:
The Regional Security Manager (RSM) is responsible for delivering effective and efficient physical security operations and programs that protect Microsoft critical infrastructure. The RSM must be comfortable working in a highly complex, fast paced, and collaborative culture. Managing a team of Campus Security Managers (CSMs) in geographically separated facilities, the RSM verifies compliance with security procedures and policies, tracks audit readiness, and provides direction to ensure physical security requirements are met or exceeded. Reporting to the Regional Director of Security Operations, the RSM works directly with management, the client, and other vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Recruits, hires, and proactively manages Campus Security Managers (CSMs) and supports efforts to do the same.
2. Oversees site-level operation of security systems and timely completion of projects and tasks.
3. Verifies compliance with security procedures, standards, policies, and best practices.
4. Supports regulatory, industry and contractual audits such as, ISO 27001, SAS 70, FISMA, PCI, and Common Criteria.
5. Manages and reviews security reports, works with security personnel to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
6. Provides detailed security management and status reports to Microsoft management and key stakeholders.
7. Communicates issues to Microsoft management in a timely manner and provides recommendations for resolution.
8. Develops, manages, and maintains security-related processes, procedures, training, and improvement plans.
9. Documents and improves work processes to make workflow more efficient and productive.
10. Keeps management informed of major accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
11. Listens to the customer and seeks to provide highly effective solutions to accomplish the customer’s goals.
12. Collaborates across groups, internal and external, to identify issues, overcome challenges, and deliver results.
13. Works with other RSMs and stakeholders to create security models that enable teams to maintain a high level of accountability and consistency.
14. Coordinates with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
15. Works with manager and stakeholders to identify new initiatives and contributes to the long-term strategy and goals.
