Position: Regional Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead
The Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC) Lead will play a vital role in overseeing the operations of Regional Security Operations Centers located at community colleges across the State of Arizona. This position entails collaborating with the SOC Manager to coordinate cybersecurity efforts, manage daily operations, and enhance the SOCs ability to detect, prevent, and respond to security threats. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, highlycollaborative, and possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.

1-3 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or IT operations role
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat analysis and incident response
Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, and other security technologies
Familiarity with automation tools for incident response or security operations
Excellentcommunicationand organizational skills
Strongproblem-solving skillsandattention to detail
Ability to mentor or train team members or students in SOC operations
Responsibilities
Assist with daily security operations and ensureeffective communicationand response to security threats
Monitor and respond to security events incollaborationwith regional SOC teams
Mentor and train community college students involved in SOC operations
Prepare reports and documentation related to SOC activities
Serve as a point of contact between the SOC Manager, community college stakeholders, and regional IT/security staff
Participate in regional cybersecurity initiatives and interdepartmental coordination
Qualifications
Proven ability to monitor and respond to security incidents
Experience in supporting cybersecurity policies and incident response protocols
Experience conducting training sessions, workshops, or educational initiatives for students or junior staff
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM are a plus
Education Requirements
Experience is prioritized over formaleducation; however, a Bachelors degree is preferred
