Guidewire Software‘s Global Physical Security & Safety team is looking for a Regional Security Operations Lead – AMER Region, who will be responsible for security operations of Guidewire‘s AMER region‘s offices, Guidewire‘s Headquarters in San Mateo, CA, as well as contributing to strategic global projects.
This is an exciting role within a contemporary physical security program to support Guidewire‘s employees‘ work from anywhere: in an office, from home, or on business travel. The position reports to the Manager, Global Security Operations (based in Ireland).
Responsibilities
Plan and execute an open and robust stakeholder engagement plan with the San Mateo HQ Workplace team including: regular cross-team meetings, frequent communication, and fostering an open and collaborative working environment
Manage day to day security operations for Guidewire‘s Headquarters location in San Mateo, CA, as well as offices across the AMER region, using matrixed resources
Perform site security risk assessments and risk management coordination for corporate events in AMER (both on and off-site)
Vendor relationship management of the HQ contract security guard force provider, including establishing, refining, and reinforcing performance metrics
Resolve issues via exceptional communication and using multiple channels – ticketing, email, messaging, and in person
Develop, manage and train employees on AMER office emergency response plans
Conduct policy and standards compliance checks and enforcement (Internal, State, Federal and other International regulations)
Partner with HR, Legal, and Workplace to resolve safety and security incidents
Work with the rest of the Global Physical Security & Safety team to design and manage world class enterprise-wide safety and security programs, policies and procedures
Support internal investigations (led by Guidewire‘s People Team) using internal technology systems and interviews
Ability to see and contribute to building the long term vision of safety and security strategy and programs
In collaboration with the Global Security Technology Manager, manage and work with security technology vendors locally
Basic Qualifications
5-10 years of experience managing contract guard services, security technology systems, event security management, environmental health & safety, security program implementation and emergency management in a multinational corporate environment
Experience directly or indirectly managing people and building work processes/procedures
Availability to support after hours as needed
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (5%)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong background in:
Developing security programs, Crisis management, Event risk management, Travel risk management
Experience developing and leading physical security programs in the technology industry
End-user experience with AMAG Symmetry, Avigilon ACC and/or other systems
Professional Certifications including: ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP), ASIS International Physical Security Professional (PSP), Project Management Inst. Project Management Professional (PMP)
