Key duties and responsibilities of a security officer instructor:

Curriculum Development:
Design and develop comprehensive security officer training programs aligned with industry standards and relevant laws.
Create detailed lesson plans, course outlines, and training materials.
Incorporate diverse teaching methods like lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and practical exercises.
Classroom Instruction:
Deliver engaging and informative lectures covering topics such as:
Security protocols and procedures
Access control and visitor management
Surveillance techniques and monitoring systems
Incident reporting and documentation
Emergency response procedures (fire, medical, active shooter)
Legal considerations and use of force
Basic self-defense tactics
Practical Training:
Conduct hands-on training sessions on:
Patrol techniques and observation skills
Proper use of security equipment (radios, body cameras, access control systems)
Crowd control and crowd management strategies
Basic first aid and CPR
Student Evaluation:
Assess student comprehension through written tests, practical demonstrations, and performance evaluations.
Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their skills and knowledge
Maintain detailed training records for each student
Compliance Management:
Stay updated on relevant security regulations and industry best practices
Ensure training programs adhere to all applicable laws and standards
Conduct periodic reviews and updates to training materials as needed
Administrative Tasks:
Manage training schedules and coordinate with facility management for training locations
Maintain training equipment and supplies
Prepare reports on training progress and student performance

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 24 per week

Schedule:

4 hour shift
Day shift
Evening shift
Monday to Friday
Night shift
Weekends as needed
