Job Summary:
The Venice West is seeking a reliable and professional Security Team Member to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, staff, and performers. Security personnel will be responsible for maintaining order, enforcing venue policies, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety of everyone on the premises.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor entrance and exit points to verify guest entry and prevent unauthorized access.
Check IDs to ensure guests meet age requirements for entry.
Conduct security screenings (bag checks, pat-downs if necessary).
Maintain a strong security presence inside and outside the venue.
Respond to disturbances, de-escalate conflicts, and remove unruly guests when needed.
Assist in crowd control and ensure guests follow venue policies.
Provide security for artists, staff, and VIPs as needed.
Monitor for potential safety hazards and report any issues.
Work closely with venue management and local authorities if necessary.
Administer first aid or coordinate emergency medical response when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Prior security experience in a venue, nightclub, or similar environment preferred.
Valid Guard Card (California security license) is highly preferred.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and responding quickly to incidents.
Knowledge of local alcohol laws and venue safety regulations is a plus.
CPR/First Aid certification is a bonus.
