2. Ability to communicate effectively with the public, verbally and in writing.
3. Experience working in a school setting and utilizing surveillance cameras, preferred.
4. Meet physical requirements of the position, such as, but not limited to, climbing stairs and walking/patrolling the interior and exterior of the schools.
5. Ability to perform duties using restraint of violent or disorderly persons who are intent on disturbing school proceedings or harming themselves and others.
6. Must have scheduleflexibilityand be able to change shifts to accommodate building needs.
7. Substitute Teaching Certification preferred.
8. CPR/AED Certification and De-escalation and Restraint Certification (obtained within first 12-months of employment as provided by the District.)
REPORTS TO:District Manager of Safety and Security
Salary and benefits:as per theCollective BargainingAgreement between the Rahway Board ofEducationand the RahwayEducationAssociation.
