Position Overview:
Sometimes a lock, alarm, or gate aren’t enough to protect people and property. This is when a Protective Agent/Security Officer (literally) steps in. Protective Agents are a living, breathing line of defense for businesses against external threats, intrusion, and vulnerabilities.
Working under the direct supervision of a security supervisor, we will rely upon you for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and other people and property on our job sites and locations.
Position Objectives:
Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control
Be visible and observant, maintaining high situational awareness and tactful customer service.
Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately
Maintain the Jomsvikings reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
Position Duties:
Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage
Presents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informs violators of policy and procedures.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Maintains the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Security Officer Minimum Qualifications and Skills
Must be able to stand for up to 4+ hours
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Basic computer skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent sense of judgment

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required

2+ years of Military, Law Enforcement, or Security Industry employment
