Job Summary
Manages the safety program for the location and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policy. Responsible for continuous leadership and training of operator candidates. Promotes strong leadership and influences positive employee morale throughout CityLink. The Safety Manager will collaborate with various departments to promote safety awareness, conduct training sessions, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
Provides behind-the-wheel instruction according to CityLink specifications in all aspects of vehicle operation and passenger transportation, driving, service area familiarization, passenger loading, unloading and securement.
Conducts classroom training in accordance with CityLink requirements.
Ensure all safety manuals, programs, policies, and procedures are current and meet the needs of CityLink.
Document all training activities and ensure accurate completion of all training-related employee records.
Establish a relationship with personnel to identify additional training needs, resources, and opportunities.
Prepares and conducts monthly safety meetings.
Maintains an adequate and complete employee filing system and participates in audits and inspections to CityLink expectations.
Collaborates with the other DER to fulfill the drug & alcohol requirements for CityLink, which include random drug & alcohol testing and ensures all files are updated to pass regular audits.
Collaborate with the HR department for an injury prevention program to reduce the number of workplace injuries.
Conducts accident investigation using root-cause analysis and provides documentation that would provide suggested actions for the employee(s) involved as required.
Oversees the camera audit program to evaluate operator safety, customer service, and systematic knowledge of the service.
Respond to emergency or unusual situations as needed.
Must gain knowledge of the operating rules and regulations of CityLink. Must adhere to company policy.
Some outside office hours may be required for special events, concerns, or training.
Travel requirement outside of immediate area as needed for additional training.
