POSITION SUMMARY

To provide site leadership, professional knowledge and expertise in the implementation and administration of Legacy Vacation Resort’s safety, security, and risk programs. Focusing on the mission statement and developing a culture that takes care of the environment and gives back to the community.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Effectively supervise, and direct the daily activities for the Security Department.
Recruiting, training, and continue developing of all staff to ensure proper use of tools and equipment and implemented guidelines in Kissimmee and LBV.
Proactively recommends, identifies and implements comprehensive and effective safety programs measured by a reduction in incident rates, inspection/audit results, and overall safety/security of the team members/guests/property.
Facilitate a work environment that supports a positive, safe and secure culture leading by example.
Have and maintain up to date knowledge and best practices in the industry affecting safety and security.
Communicate with all Resort leadership team to maintain an open and direct communication of any issues that might arise and or need attention.
Conduct safety inspections, data analysis, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain all site required documentation related to safety issues, i.e. accident reports, inspection reports, training logs.
Willing to be part of the team including assuming the tasks of team members, if necessary.
Possess working knowledge of all paperwork required on a day-to-day basis (i.e. purchase orders, departmental budget reports, new hire paperwork, QA inspection forms, disciplinary forms or separations, check requests, team member performance evaluations, status notices, time keeping and vacation requests.
Conduct accident/incident investigations for guests-owners and team members.
Manage and coordinate the daily activities regarding injury management, general liability and all safety/security standards.
Facilitate safety related trainings, huddles, and lead safety committee meetings.
Assists in the enforcement of Legacy Vacation Resort’s safety and risk policies as well as state and federal guidelines.
Deliver exceptional guest service to internal and external customers.
Order and Maintain safety inventory for site within budget guidelines.
Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field

Experience: Four or more years related experience.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Certificates & Licenses: Adult & Child First Aid and Class “D”, AED certification.

Other Requirements: Thorough knowledge of state and federal safety regulations and standards Knowledge of hospitality safety including inspection procedures, methods and practices; environmental health guidelines; and modern teaching and training methods. Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs. Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral. Must have a flexible schedule as schedules are determined based on the needs of the business.
