Overview:
DeCoach Recovery Centre is seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to join our team as an Overnight Security Officer for our residential substance abuse program. The position involves ensuring a calm and safe environment in our facility to facilitate a speedy recovery.
Responsibilities:
Monitor participants and outside happenings at the facility.
Ensure participants adhere to program guidelines and restrictions.
Prevent participants from leaving the program premises.
Conduct regular checks and patrols to maintain a secure and safe environment.
Respond promptly to any incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, and take appropriate actions.
Document and report any violations or incidents to program supervisors.
Collaborate with other staff to address security concerns and coordinate any necessary actions.
Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with program participants.
Requirements:
Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently.
Understanding of the sensitive nature of recovery programs and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
