Job Summary: As a Patrol Officer you will be responsible for patrolling on foot the community while maintaining a safe and orderly environment by effectively handling and de-escalating interactions with individuals exhibiting strong or challenging personalities. Your role will involve using communication skills, empathy, and professional judgment to resolve conflicts and ensure compliance with company policies and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Enforcement: Patrol area to ensure that all security protocols and company policies are adhered to. Respond to security breaches or violations promptly and effectively.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with management, colleagues, and external parties. Provide regular updates on any ongoing issues or concerns.
Conflict Resolution: Actively listen and engage with individuals exhibiting strong personalities or challenging behavior. Use de-escalation techniques to manage and resolve conflicts while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Observation and Reporting: Monitor and assess interactions between individuals to identify potential conflicts or security risks. Provide detailed reports on incidents, including actions taken and outcomes achieved.
Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training related to conflict resolution, customer service, and security practices. Stay updated on best practices for managing strong personalities and challenging situations.
Customer Service: Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all interactions, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues while preserving the dignity and respect of all individuals involved.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in a security or customer service role
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Proficiency in conflict de-escalation techniques and problem-solving.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in conflict resolution, crisis management, or security preferred.
Attributes: Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism. Empathetic and composed, with a proactive approach to resolving conflicts.
Additional Requirements:
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and respond to emergency situations.
Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
