Hilton Pearl River, a full-service luxury hotel located 25 minutes from New York City in Rockland County (NY) and bordering Bergen County (NJ), is seeking an organized, energetic, hands-on professional to join our exceptional team as a 2ndshift, weekend part time Loss Prevention/Security personnel.

This position is a dual role in Loss Prevention and Security. LPO provides protection for hotel guests, team members, and property. LPO also provides guests with a sense of comfort and well being by maintaining a level of visibility. The LPO should be proactive and focus on identifying and preventing a problem before it occurs. This position is part time requiring work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4PM-12AM-1AM
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Must be able to climb stairs, descend stairs, walk and stand for long periods of time. Need to be able to physically deter someone who poses a threat to our guests/employees
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
Must be able to interact with our guests’ and staff on a one to one basis exhibiting control and patience
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by managers, co-workers and guests

Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Desired experience in a hotel or similar business in loss prevention, security, or guard capacity
Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be a team player with a positive attitude
The LPO/Security must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include most holidays and all weekends
Must be able to work the 2nd shift 4PM-12AM on the weekends – Friday, Saturday and Sunday and must be able to cover other LPO shifts as needed
