Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a strong background in security practices, law enforcement, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Armed Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention, ensuring the safety of personnel and assets.
Duties
Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential threats.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the premises.
Conduct thorough inspections of facilities, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Provide assistance during emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary.
Document incidents and prepare detailed reports for management review.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
Armed security guard license is REQUIRED.
Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Proficiency in surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must possess a valid armed security license and any additional certifications required by state regulations.
