Position: UNARMED Security MUST have Level 2 Credential; ARMED Security MUST have Level 3 Credential + Full-sized Firearm.
Overview:
Our organization is looking for diligent and alert Security Agents to join our ranks. The ideal individual will be essential in fostering a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and guests. This role demands a proactive security approach, outstanding observational skills, and the ability to react appropriately to various circumstances. Responsibilities of the Security Agent will include monitoring the premises, enforcing policies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Security Agent’s Duties and Responsibilities:
Stay Alert: Maintain constant vigilance by observing for unusual or potentially dangerous activities.
Project Authority: Uphold a confident and authoritative presence to deter any would-be offenders.
Guard Entrances: Monitor building entrances and exits to ensure that only authorized individuals gain access.
Provide Escort Services: Safely escort employees to their vehicles at night upon request.
Document Incidents: Keep detailed records of any incidents and report them promptly to your superiors.
Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with fellow security personnel, utilizing radio communication to foster a safe environment.
Conduct Patrols: Walk the perimeter of the property, identifying any security breaches, such as unlocked doors or broken windows, and take appropriate action.
Monitor Surveillance: Keep a keen eye on security cameras and video feeds for any suspicious activity.
Respond to Alarms: Set, respond to, and manage alarms, and call for outside assistance (police, fire, ambulance, etc.) when emergencies arise.
Follow Protocol: Take directions from supervisors in accordance with company policies, state laws, and regulations.
Requirements:
Able to pass a state background check and possess a clean driving record.
Knowledge of self-defense and/or previous work in security is a plus, and First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be 21+ years of age for armed positions.
Must have Level 2, 3, or 4 Texas Guard Credentials (Iron Spear will add through TOPS).
Law enforcement and Military background strongly encouraged to apply.
For armed positions: You must provide your own firearm, level 2 or level 3 holster, and duty belt.
WEEKENDS REQUIRED.
For an Unarmed position – Level 2 Credential is required.
For an ARMED position – Level 3 Credential is required.
