We have a current opportunity for a Security Analyst, on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in Symonston, ACT. The contract is for an initial 14 month period, with a 2 x 12 month extension option.
Start: circa 28 April 2025
DSS Skill Set: Level 2 – Systems and Software Engineering – System Security
The Security Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
Conduct Pre-Certification activities, inclusive of producing technical and system-level security documentation.
Activities to be undertaken IAW Defence ICT Certification and Accreditation Framework, and relevant Government policy including the Information Security Manual(ISM).
Engage with AHQ, CJC, CASG, CIOG and internal LNIC staff to develop project or capability-specific security accreditation documentation, including the preparation for submission to CIOG for endorsement and approval by CIOG.
Develop, support and maintain CT-A frameworks, processes and engagement with key stakeholders.
Attend workshops and actively participate to provide robust ICT security advice within information security and technical accreditation discussions.
Minimum mandatory requirements:
AGSVA Security clearance.
Defence experience.
Understanding and experience with Australian Government certification and accreditation processes.
Understanding of Department of Defence applicable information security policy, including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Information Security Manual (ISM) and Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF).
Knowledge of ICT Information Security or ICT Security Architecture.
Knowledge of service delivery frameworks, including ITIL.
Hold relevant industry information systems security certifications, in line with IRAP category A or B details.
Understanding of Defence Project capability Lifecycle.
