SurePoint is looking for an entry-levelSecurity Analystto join ourfast-paced, growing organization. The Security Analyst will be responsible forrisk assessment, incident operations, and compliance. This role is accountable for secure configuration management, as well as detecting, investigating, and responding to incidents. The Security Analyst will participate in planning and implementing preventative security measures as well as helping with disaster recovery preparation.

This role reports directly to the Director of Security.

Responsibilities

Create, monitor, and maintain secure configurations.

Detect, investigate, and respond to incidents.

Plan and implement preventative security measures.

Assist with disaster recovery.

Manage 3rd party security compliance.

Assist in PCI-DSS compliance activities.

Function as the security operations center primary contact.

Skills & Qualifications

Basic understanding of security systems, including:
Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP

Basic understanding of security concepts including:
Least Privilege, Defense in Depth

An understanding of various attack methods and attack surfaces

Solid understanding of Network Protocols

Experience in working with Cloud Providers like AWS and Azure

Experience with Windows enterprise environments

Willing to constantly learn and improve

Strong technical andanalytical skills

Minimum Qualifications (any of the following)

2+ years’ experience in cybersecurity

Entry level security certifications (eg. Security+, GSEC)

2 year associates degree in information security, networking, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience within IT roles
