APS integrates with the jurisdictions 911 system to provide alerting and notifications to the first responders. Work includes wiring of inputs and output field devices, installation of commercial speaker systems and installation of commercial displays. APS designs, builds, operates, and maintains security and fire station alerting system solutions for local business (security systems) and Jurisdictional/Federal Fire stations throughout the US.

Position Summary

In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems and Fire station alerting systems. Performing preventive maintenance requirements. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.

Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

Install and maintain electronic security systems and fire station alerting systems.

Conducting and documenting daily talks.

Installing equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.

Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.

Providing on-site software commissioning and testing.

Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory

Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Subordinates

Maintain a MSP security technician license

Position / Candidate Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements (MSP security lic.), including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.

Requires a Valid driver’s license.

This position requires ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy.

Education:

H.S. diploma or GED

Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or

Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or

Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program or

An additional three (2) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities

Required Progressive Experience:

2-4 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs

Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.

Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.

Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.

Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications

Proficient with a computer. Past Honeywell (intrusion and video), Galaxy Access control, and camera system experience.
